What is Global Search?
Global Search is the fastest way to find anything in Repricing.app. Instead of navigating through menus and pages, type what you're looking for and jump straight to it. It searches across your entire workspace: listings, strategies, channel accounts, documentation articles, and pages.
How to open Global Search
Two ways to open the search overlay:
- Keyboard shortcut. Press Ctrl + K on Windows/Linux, or Cmd + K on Mac. This is the fastest way, and we recommend building it into your workflow.
- Search shortcut in the header. Click the keyboard shortcut hint (Ctrl + K) displayed in the header bar.
The search page appears with a text input where you can start typing immediately. Press the shortcut again or hit Escape to close search and return to your previous page.
What gets searched
Global Search looks across multiple data types at once:
- Listings. Search by product name, SKU, channel product ID (ASIN, item ID, or other channel-specific identifier), or any other listing detail.
- Strategies. Search by strategy name. Useful when you have many strategies and want to jump to one quickly.
- Channel accounts. Search by account label or channel name.
- Documentation. Search through all help articles (the ones you're reading right now). Great for finding answers without leaving the app.
- Pages. Search for pages like "Listings," "Reports," "Settings," etc. This works like a quick launcher for navigating to any section.
Using search results
Results appear as you type, showing enough context to identify each item (name, SKU, strategy type, etc.). Click any result to navigate directly to it:
- Clicking a listing opens its detail page.
- Clicking a strategy takes you to the strategy editor.
- Clicking a doc article opens it in the documentation viewer.
- Clicking a page navigates to that section of the app.
You can also use the Up and Down arrow keys to move through results, and Enter to select the highlighted one, all without touching the mouse.
Tips for effective searching
- Use channel product IDs for precise lookups. Each channel product ID is unique on its channel, so searching by it finds exactly the right listing.
- Use partial words. You don't need to type the full product name. "wire" will find "Wireless Bluetooth Headphones."
- Search for page names to navigate quickly. Type "reports" to jump to the Reports section, or "settings" to jump to Settings. It's faster than clicking through the sidebar.
- Search for docs when you need help. If you're not sure how something works, type your question or a keyword into search. Matching help articles from this documentation will appear in the results.
