MAP and MSRP enforcement

Two new toggles in the strategy editor let you lock a listing's price to MAP (Minimum Advertised Price) or MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price). When enabled, these override the normal repricing logic and set the price to the manufacturer's required value.

What are MAP and MSRP?

MAP is the minimum price a manufacturer allows you to advertise a product for. It does not restrict the actual sale price, but some brands enforce it strictly and may revoke your authorization to sell if you go below it. MSRP is the manufacturer's suggested retail price, often used as a ceiling or reference price. Both are common in brand-authorized and wholesale selling.

How the toggles work

Each repricing strategy has a MAP toggle and an MSRP toggle. When you enable the MAP toggle, any listing assigned to that strategy with a MAP value on file will have its price set to exactly that MAP value, bypassing the normal repricing logic entirely. The MSRP toggle works the same way but uses the MSRP value instead.

Priority and fallback

If both toggles are enabled on the same strategy, MAP takes priority. If a listing has both MAP and MSRP data, the price is set to MAP. If MAP data is missing but MSRP is available, the price falls back to MSRP. If neither value exists for a listing, the strategy's normal repricing logic applies as usual. This layered approach ensures your pricing always has a sensible default.

Use cases

MAP enforcement is essential for sellers who work with brand-authorized distributors that require minimum pricing compliance. MSRP enforcement is useful when you want to sell at the manufacturer's suggested price, which is common for new product launches or premium brands. Both settings can coexist with normal repricing on other listings within the same strategy.
