When Amazon suppresses the Buy Box on a product (meaning no seller wins it), the repricing engine now detects this condition and gives you three options for how to respond. A new status indicator in the Listings table makes suppressed Buy Boxes easy to spot.
What is a suppressed Buy Box?
Amazon sometimes removes the Buy Box entirely from a product page. When this happens, customers see a "See All Buying Options" link instead of the usual "Add to Cart" button. This typically occurs when Amazon's algorithm determines that no offer meets its price or quality threshold, or when there are not enough competitive offers on the listing. It is more common on lower-priced items or items with limited sales history.
Three response options
When the engine detects a suppressed Buy Box, your strategy can respond in one of three ways. "Hold current price" keeps your price unchanged until the Buy Box returns, avoiding any unnecessary adjustments. "Reprice against lowest competitor" targets the lowest available offer on the page, positioning you to win if the Buy Box is restored. "Auto-calculated floor" uses a dynamic price floor based on your costs and target margin to set the lowest price that is still profitable.
Status indicator
The Listings table now shows a three-state Buy Box indicator for each listing: "Winning" (green), "Not Winning" (neutral), or "Suppressed" (amber). This makes it easy to scan your catalog and identify products where the Buy Box is not available. You can also use saved views to filter for suppressed listings specifically.
Automatic recovery
The engine continuously monitors the Buy Box status. When Amazon restores the Buy Box on a listing, the engine automatically switches back to your normal repricing strategy. There is no manual intervention needed. Pricing Activity logs show when a listing entered and exited the suppressed state.
